  1. Pretty big question... Becoming one requires a bachelors degree followed by a Juris Doctor at a law school, followed by passing the state Bar Exam in which you would like to practice. What do lawyers do? Estates and Trusts, Acquisitions and mergers, criminal law, civil litigation, intellectual property law, bankruptcy, landlord and tenant law, lots of things... How much they make depends on where and what they practice...
