Lawyers???

In order to become a lawyer do you have to be able to speak clearly like the people on CNN or is it okay to have a very light accent? Thanks

  1. You can have an accent, some in the south are so thick you can barely understand them, lol
  2. It's fine to have a light, or even a heavy accent. I've litigated in the Deep South and in South Florida (the 6th borough of New York City). Accent have never been an issue. Only intelligence and ability.
  3. The world is very diverse. Don't be self conscious about your heritage. It more than likely will be a great asset to you in your career. Own it!!!! I wish you much success.
