What type of Lawyers are brave enough to take on small City Governments?

We are remodeling a house and keep having problems from the city about permits, inspections etc. ( small town in Texas) We are having all work done by contractors who are registered with the city. We are trying to find out what is really going on here. Sorry this is so short but, it would take pages to explain everything. Does anyone know what type of Lawyers handle cases such as this?

  1. The greater the fee , the braver the attorney : law of professional Capitalism
  2. Someone fresh out of law school that wants to make a "name" for himself/herself.
  3. Lawyers crusade for cash. Nothing else.
  4. An Attorney specializing in Real Estate. Take your contract to one with a good record or one trying to run for a political office! They must specialize in contracts involving Real Estate though! I'm an ex-Real Estate agent, I always advised my clients to do just that! Tell you something else, if you are having a house built, you need to go to the new house, unexpectedly, & check on things so that you can see how things are going & if they are following the plans. If not, you will be able to stop the work & have them change things before it gets too expensive for them to do so!
