How much money should an Intellectual Property Paralegal make?

It's what I would like to persue, but ads are asking for salary requirements and I have no idea what the range is... I don't want to aim too high or too low...

1. Check out http://salary.com Look up paralegal. They may also ask for area info like zip code, since that affects pay scale also.
2. I'm with bmb. You need to check out a site that will tell you what your local salary average is. I could tell you what paralegals make in central Illinois, but that's going to be completely different than southern Illinois or up by Chicago -- and that's just in one state! http://www.salary.com is a great start. Enter the information as if you are just starting out in that field (but if you have experience, enter that in). A paralegal with 5 years experience will make more than entry level. And if you are aware of what size the company is that you are applying to, you may want to enter that information as well. Bigger companies can afford to pay you more.
