will i go to jail for receiving stolen property?possesion of burglary tools?

its my first offense. i was pulled over with a calculator i didnt know was left in my car that was stolen and the cops also said that my bike pump i use to pump up all the balls in my car was a burglary tool because the handle was broken and so i taped a screwdriver to the broken handle. i actually taped it there so i could pull/push the pump to pump up the soccer balls. iim being charged with all of this because my friend was pulled over near my house and i drove over there when i saw they were arresting him, I ASKED the cops why they were arresting him and they said "you know this guy?" and when i told them yeah they searched my car too. they think that i went around stealing with him and thats why my penalty is so much is what they told me. but if he has the chance to explain to them that i didnt have anything to do with it he would. but i went to court once for an arraignment i think it was called and they offered me 180 days of jail, 3yrs probation, and a $500 fine. after i told them no to the first offer then they offered me 90 days instead of 180 but with everything else being the same. when my friend went they offered him the same but with 30 days instead of 90. his public defender told him that mine most likely got reduced to the same thing also the next courtdate is a pre-trial..i dont know what goes on there oh and i have NO PREVIOUS CRIMINAL RECORD AND THE CALCULATOR IN MY CAR WAS WORTH $100 the other guy had tons of stuff maybe not over 400 dollars though

  1. if you have a record and been in trouble before, yes
  2. DEE DEE DEE! Maybe next time you will mind your own business and let the police do their jobs instead of meddling.
  3. Bubbas waiting for you.
  4. If you're telling the whole truth, take it to trial. The police had no probable cause to search your vehicle, and all their evidence, such as it is, is inadmissible. You may not even need a lawyer. Once the district attorney sees you are determined not to accept a deal, he likely will not go through the trouble of pursuing the charge.
  5. I think they can go to hell. If you didn't know the friend was a criminal it is NOT your fault! I think our whole system is really f---ked up and unfair just because of this guilt by association crap!!!
