if you sell stolen property (2500$+), under 18 whats the crime and punishment?
I found a bike on the side of the street and sold it to my friend, he got pulled over and they ran the number and it turned out stolen. I honestley did not steal it, but i indeed sold stolen property, whats the crime i commeted, and what type of punishment will i recieve? note that i am indeed under 18. thanks for all your help !!!

- You sold something you didn't own. At a minimum, it's fraud. For a criminal offense, it depends on where you live. They will probably charge you with theft. You can fight the charge, but since you sold the bike, that will weigh heavily against you. if it's your 1st offense and you are convicted you will probably get probation and maybe a fine or restitution and community service. When you are charged you will get a court appointed attorney, ask them what to expect in the area where you live.
- sounds like receiving stolen property. BTW, that is one expensive bike!!! Most likely a felony at that value. Depending on where you are, you could just get probation. But going to detention for 30 days is a real possibility, especially if you have a previous record or have a tough judge.
