- Federal offense - crossed state lines.
- I am assuming that this is a residential house. the charges would be classified as a robbery. the robber could be charged with braking and entering, trespassing on private property, robbery, and possession of stolen property (if the money was recovered).
- It is a felony. Under Virginia Law, it carries a minimum sentence of one year. However, it can be pleaded down to a lesser offense if your fiance makes restitution to the victim. He needs to consult an attorney as soon as possible.
- RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY...SO HE DIDN'T STEAL IT HE JUST GOT IT FROM SOMEONE WHO DID RIGHT?......PROBABLY CAN PLEAD IT OUT TO A MISDEMEANOR IF THAT'S THE CASE UNLESS HE WAS PART OF THE ROBBERY........
- Larceny of anything worth over $250 is a felony.
