personal property stolen from company truck while it was on company property?

Hello, i'm a truck driver. i work for a trucking company driving a tractor trailer. i am required to park the companys equipment on their property while im off duty for the weekends or hometime etc, this past saturday evening i got to the yard(companies property) where they want me to park got in my car and went home. that night someone broke a window out of the truck and stole my 400 dollar cb radio. this place has no guard on duty and they have a camera system but it isnt set up completly so no recording and there is no one in the office on weekends anyway. Is the company liable for my cb radio? yes they have replaced the window already. no they have never contacted me on the cb. however they are not disputing that i had the cb, i even have a reciept from work i had done to it 6 days prior. they told me that they didnt have insurance to cover it and they would give me 100 bucks to help me with getting a new one but that is something that they dont normally do. just doing it hoping i won't quit because they like me working for them. or so they say. and they are turning their window damage into their insurance company. i know this because they were getting a police report for themselves. should i persue this matter with a lawyer or would it be a waste of my time ya think? thanks very much for you input
