Intellectual Property Law

oj simpson question, why is the man with the stolen property free without consequences?

This may be a touchy subject and whether oj is guilty or not for takin back his stuff isnt the question, last time i checked though having posession of stolen property was a felony, can anyone explain to me why not one person is mentioning that that man is guilty also, how comes hes giving interviews and scott free. shouldnt he and oj both be in jail? oj really should have called the cops stead of takin it in his hands but to me the whole thing seems like a which hunt. what does yahoo answers think?

  1. They have it in for OJ. I don't understand the kidnapping charge, nor the gun charge as no gun was recovered. Possession of stolen property is a felony except when the police turn a blind eye. How can you steal something that's yours? The cops wouldn't help OJ recover a stolen donut.
  2. It has not been proven that any of the stuff was actually stolen. That fact will surface at a later date. When O.J. told someone in that room that "They are not going anywhere," that is a form of kidnapping because he restricted a person from going where they wanted to go. The gun was seen on the video surveilance cameras in the hotel. If that bunch of ultra liberal lawyers, judges and jury had done their job back in California, this incident would not have taken place. Perhaps Nevada has bigger Nads, and will punish to the extent of the law.
  3. My understanding is that the man you question is an actual sports collector. He buys and sells all kinds of sports memorabilia. He has done nothing wrong according to the papers. He is kown for collectors items and oj wanted to "get his things back"...I guess he was going to buy them back. Don't forget he had to give things up years ago to help make some kind of payments to the Goldmans..I think that was an order from the judge in his civil trial that the goldmans brought against oj.....
