Are there any unique intellectual property considerations when writing under a pen name?
I am considering using a pen name to write my first fantasy novel under. How is that handled with respect to publishing and royalties?

- I write under a couple of pen names. It's not difficult or unusual. You format the title page and page headers of your manuscript as instructed in Writer's Market (easier to refer you than to explain), and conduct all contact with agents and publishers using your real name. The only hitch I could imagine arising is if the pen name you've chosen belongs to someone who does not want to be associated with what you write. Do an online search to make sure the name you select is unique.
- I think its ok as long as it isn't someone elses name.
